Sodium oxalate (Na₂C₂O₄) AR grade is a primary standard reducing agent used to standardise potassium permanganate solutions by titration in hot sulphuric acid medium. Also used in the preparation of oxalate buffer solutions and as a precipitating agent for gravimetric calcium determination. AR grade ensures the high purity required for primary standard applications.
