Description
The Hanna HI98193 is a portable waterproof dissolved oxygen meter with extended measurement ranges of up to 50 ppm and 600% saturation. Supplied with the HI764073 polarographic DO probe featuring field-replaceable PTFE membrane caps and a quick-connect waterproof DIN connector for secure, tool-free attachment. Pressure compensation is applied automatically via the meter's built-in barometer — calibrated against a reference — or by manual entry, with pressure displayed in mmHg, inHg, atm, psi, kPa, or mbar. The probe's integrated temperature sensor provides automatic temperature compensation, and manual salinity entry enables accurate measurements in saline waters. Built-in methods allow calculation of Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Oxygen Uptake Rate (OUR), and Specific Oxygen Uptake Rate (SOUR). Stores up to 400 log-on-demand readings for PC download via USB with HI92000 software. GLP calibration data — including date, time, pressure, calibrated value, temperature, and salinity — is accessible via a dedicated key. High-contrast graphic LCD with backlight suits outdoor and low-light measurement. Includes compact thermoformed HI760193 carry case.
