Description
Polyethylene glycol 4000 (PEG 4000, MW ~4000 g/mol) LR grade. A solid, water-soluble polymer used as an osmotic agent in cell biology (protoplast fusion, PEG-mediated transfection), as a binder in tablet formulation research, as a lubricant and mould release agent, and as a precipitant in protein crystallisation. LR grade is suitable for biochemical and preparative applications.
