Polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG 400, MW ~400 g/mol) LR grade. A liquid, water-miscible polymer used as a solubiliser and co-solvent for poorly water-soluble compounds in pharmaceutical formulation research, as a plasticiser in polymer films, and as a base for ointments and suppositories. The low molecular weight confers liquid form and good solubilising properties. LR grade is suitable for pharmaceutical research and preparative applications.
