Description
Heavy paraffin oil (mineral oil, high viscosity) LR grade. Used as a sealing oil for anaerobic cultures and moisture-sensitive reactions, as a lubricant for ground-glass joints and vacuum stopcocks, and as a suspension medium in infrared spectroscopy sample preparation (Nujol mull technique). Higher viscosity than light grade makes it preferred for vacuum-line sealing and IR mulls. LR grade is suitable for general laboratory applications.
