Description
Whatman GF/C is a 1.2µm binder-free glass fibre filter widely cited in water quality methodology. It is the standard filter specified in APHA Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater for biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) analysis, as well as total suspended solids (TSS) determination. Also used for plankton collection, algae enumeration, and other aquatic monitoring applications where cellulose paper would be too slow or would retain soluble organics.
