Description
n-Hexane (C₆H₁₄, ≥95%) HPLC grade. Used as a non-polar mobile phase solvent in normal-phase HPLC for separation of lipids, fat-soluble vitamins, and non-polar compounds, and as an extraction solvent in sample preparation for GC and HPLC analysis. HPLC grade ensures low UV absorbance at 200 nm and very low non-volatile residue for clean chromatographic baselines. Highly flammable; use in a fume cupboard.
