Description
Methanol (methyl alcohol, CH3OH) AR grade. A versatile polar protic solvent used as an HPLC mobile phase component, in UV spectrophotometry, as a reaction solvent in organic and inorganic synthesis, and in preparation of methanolic reagent solutions. AR grade ensures low water content, low carbonyl compound content, and low UV absorbance for analytical work. Highly toxic — use in a fume cupboard with appropriate PPE.
