Description
Activated manganese dioxide (MnO₂) 90% technical grade. An oxidising agent used in oxidation of primary and allylic alcohols to aldehydes in organic synthesis, as a catalyst for hydrogen peroxide decomposition in oxygen generation demonstrations, and in preparation of chlorine gas from concentrated HCl. The activated form provides higher surface area and reactivity than standard MnO₂. Technical grade is suitable for preparative and synthetic applications.
