Iodine (I₂) AR grade. Used as an oxidising agent in iodimetric titrations, in preparation of Lugol's iodine solution for starch and thyroid staining, as a non-specific visualisation agent for organic compounds in TLC, and in preparation of standard iodine solutions for titrimetric analysis. AR grade ensures low chloride and non-volatile residue content. Volatile and corrosive — store in a sealed container.
