Hexane fraction (petroleum hexane) technical grade. A mixed aliphatic solvent used as an extraction solvent for oils, fats, and lipids in industrial and routine laboratory applications, as a degreasing solvent, and in large-scale preparative extractions. Technical grade is cost-effective for bulk use where higher purity grades are not required. Highly flammable; use in a fume cupboard.
