Description
Hexane fraction (petroleum hexane) AR grade is a mixed aliphatic solvent with a boiling range comparable to n-hexane. Used as a non-polar extraction solvent for oils, fats, and lipids in Soxhlet analysis and liquid-liquid partitioning, and as a normal-phase chromatography mobile phase. A cost-effective alternative to pure n-hexane where the mixed fraction is analytically acceptable. AR grade ensures low benzene and aromatic content. Highly flammable — use in a fume cupboard.
