Description
Formaldehyde 36.5–38% aqueous solution (formalin) AR grade in plastic bottle. Used as a tissue fixative in histology and biological specimen preservation, as a disinfectant, and as a reactant in condensation polymerisation. AR grade ensures low acidity and methanol content for analytical and preparative applications. Handle in a fume hood; formaldehyde vapour is toxic and a probable carcinogen.
