Description
Formaldehyde 34.5–38% aqueous solution (formalin) LR grade in plastic bottle. Used as a tissue fixative and preservative in histology and biological specimen preparation, as a disinfectant, and as a reactant in condensation polymerisation (phenol-formaldehyde, urea-formaldehyde). LR grade is suitable for fixation, preservation, and general preparative applications. Handle in a fume hood; formaldehyde vapour is toxic and a probable carcinogen.
