Description
Fluorescein sodium is a highly fluorescent yellow-green dye used as a water tracer in hydrology, groundwater flow studies, and leak detection. Detectable at extremely low concentrations under UV light (excitation 490 nm, emission 514 nm), making it suitable for tracing water movement through soils, drainage systems, and aquifers. Also used in ophthalmology for fluorescein angiography and corneal staining.
