Description
Eriochrome Black T (EBT, C.I. 14645) is a metallochromic indicator used to detect the endpoint in EDTA complexometric titrations for total water hardness (combined calcium and magnesium) determination. It forms wine-red complexes with calcium and magnesium ions in alkaline solution, changing to blue at the free-indicator endpoint. LR grade is suitable for routine water analysis and educational titration work.
