Dithio-oxamide (rubeanic acid) 0.5% reagent solution in ethanol/acetone. A colorimetric reagent for spot-test and spectrophotometric detection of copper(II) and cobalt(II), forming characteristic olive-green (copper) and yellow-brown (cobalt) chelate precipitates. Used in qualitative analysis and semi-quantitative screening of metal ions in environmental and industrial samples.
