Description
Dichloromethane (CH2Cl2) AR grade, stabilised with amylene (2-methyl-2-butene) to retard decomposition while avoiding protic contamination. Used in liquid-liquid extraction, preparative and column chromatography, and as a reaction solvent in organic synthesis where ethanol-stabilised grades would interfere. AR grade ensures low acidity and low non-volatile residue. Suspected carcinogen — use in a fume cupboard with appropriate PPE.
