Description
Diisopropyl ether (DIPE, (CH₃)₂CHOCH(CH₃)₂) LR grade in glass bottle. A low-polarity ether solvent used in liquid-liquid extraction of analytes from aqueous matrices and as a reaction solvent for water-sensitive reactions. Lower tendency to form peroxides than diethyl ether; test for peroxides before use with heated or reducing systems. Highly flammable; use in a fume cupboard away from ignition sources.
