Description
Cresol red 0.02% indicator solution is a sulfonphthalein pH indicator with a colour transition from yellow (pH 7.2) to red/purple (pH 8.8). Used as a pH end-point indicator in titrimetric analysis of weakly acidic systems, in microbiological growth media to indicate metabolic activity, and as a loading dye and tracking marker in gel electrophoresis.
