A medium-polarity alcohol widely used as an extraction solvent in liquid-liquid partitioning, as a co-solvent in paper and thin-layer chromatography mobile phases, and as a reaction solvent in organic synthesis. AR grade ensures low aldehyde, acidity, and non-volatile residue content for analytical and chromatographic applications.
