BRIJ-35 (polyoxyethylene 23 lauryl ether) is a mild non-ionic detergent widely used in gel electrophoresis, HPLC mobile phase modification, and membrane protein solubilisation. Its high HLB value and low critical micelle concentration make it effective at solubilising biological membranes without denaturing proteins.
