Description
Fused alumina anti-bumping granules, 3–5 mm, technical grade. Added to liquids during heating and distillation to promote even boiling and prevent superheating. The irregular porous surface provides nucleation sites for bubble formation, eliminating sudden violent boiling (bumping) in round-bottom flasks, distillation apparatus, and Kjeldahl digestion flasks. Chemically inert and reusable; rinse and dry between uses.
