Isoamyl alcohol (3-methyl-1-butanol) AR grade. Used as the alcohol component in phenol-chloroform-isoamyl alcohol (25:24:1) nucleic acid extraction, as a defoaming agent, as a solvent in partition chromatography, and as a reference compound in sensory and olfactometry studies. AR grade ensures low aldehyde and water content for biochemical and analytical applications.
