Description
Bacteriological agar powder used for preparation of solid and semi-solid microbiological culture media. Obtained from red algae, agar gels at approximately 45°C and melts at approximately 95°C, remaining solid at incubation temperatures. Used in preparation of nutrient agar, blood agar, MacConkey agar, and selective differential media for clinical, food, and environmental microbiology. Supplied in 100 g pack.
