4-Nitrophenyl phosphate disodium salt hexahydrate (pNPP) is a chromogenic substrate for alkaline phosphatase and acid phosphatase enzyme assays — hydrolysed to 4-nitrophenol (yellow, λ 405 nm) in proportion to phosphatase activity. Widely used in ELISA secondary detection, enzyme kinetics studies, and clinical chemistry method development. LR grade is suitable for biochemical assay applications.
