2-Methylpropan-1-ol (isobutanol, (CH₃)₂CHCH₂OH) LR grade. A branched-chain primary alcohol used as a solvent and extractant in organic synthesis and sample preparation, as a co-solvent in some HPLC mobile phase applications, and in preparation of isobutyrate esters. Also used as a blending component in fuel research. LR grade is suitable for general preparative and research laboratory applications.
