Description
2,2,4-Trimethylpentane (isooctane, C₈H₁₈) OPTIMA grade, tested for HPLC and GC applications. A branched-chain alkane used as a non-polar mobile phase solvent in normal-phase HPLC, as a reference hydrocarbon in octane number determination (octane rating = 100 by definition), and as a UV-transparent solvent in spectrophotometry. OPTIMA grade ensures ultra-low UV absorbance, very low non-volatile residue, and minimal aromatic content for demanding chromatographic and spectroscopic applications.
