Description
2,2,4-Trimethylpentane (isooctane, C₈H₁₈) AR grade in glass bottle. A branched alkane used as a non-polar solvent in normal-phase HPLC, as the primary reference fuel (octane number 100) in engine calibration research, and as a UV-transparent diluent in spectrophotometry. Glass packaging is preferred for long-term storage and sensitive analytical work. AR grade ensures very low aromatic content and low non-volatile residue. Highly flammable.
