Aluminium oxide calcined LR grade, 97% purity, particle size less than 150 micrometres (BS 100 mesh). Used as an adsorbent in column chromatography for separation of organic compounds, as a drying and dehydration agent for solvents, and as an abrasive in polishing applications. LR grade is suitable for general column chromatography and solvent drying in research and teaching laboratories.
